    GUI DEVELOPER

    DESCRIPTION: The GUI Developer will work closely with other developers, development managers and product managers to define, document, educate, code, and support solutions to meet business objectives. The successful candidate will work on a technical team interfacing with business and functional teams throughout the design and implementation of objectives to ensure that the overall composition of the product meets the goals set forth by our organization. The GUI Developer is a part of a team that is responsible for the conception, prototyping and development of major product initiatives. The focus of this position (80%) will be development/coding/design with (20%) on architecture/documentation.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Help architect, prototype, and build complex applications for an online marketing automation product suite • Conceive, document, and develop code for an RIA production UI talking to a Web Service Backend. • Evaluate and introduce technical standards and 3rd party components (open source & commercial) • Participate in design and code reviews

    QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience with designing and building complex & scalable Web-based GUIs using modern Web Development paradigms, tools and languages like: Web Services, REST/SOAP, Ruby on Rails, Python, Javascript and Javascript Libraries • Experience using RIA (rich Internet applications) technologies such as Sproutcore, Flex, or Silverlight • Ability to introduce and implement GUI design principles, guidelines, and standards • 2-3+ years programming experience using structured development methodologies • Experience with O-O, N-tier distributed systems, WEB 2.0, RDBMS • Experience with agile development using Continuous Integration (CI) tools • Experience with building secure, reliable, rich interactive, scalable/high-performing web applications • Drive for delivering quality products in a timely manner • Good team player • Ability to work with cross-functional business and technical teams to provide quick and timely responses • Must have superior written and verbal communication skills, organization and time management skills • Strong consulting background and/or ability to perform GUI design using Storyboarding and Wireframe prototyping are decided assets • University/College degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field experience.
